The success of today's hospital-affiliated child care center is defined by the perceived value the health care organization finds in the services and support provided by the child care programs. As a membership organization, Child Care in Health Care (CCHC) strives to provide insights, best practices, and strategies to assist hospital-affiliated programs achieve success.

As part of our efforts to support our members, CCHC has conducted extensive surveys to benchmark a wide range of operational components since 2004. Reports of findings from these surveys help our members better understand the variety of business decisions health care organizations make which directly impact center utilization, program quality, and ongoing supports that are necessary to assist hospital employees. The following reports are available for purchase:

Benchmarking Survey I - focused primarily on the broad range of services offered at hospital-based centers and the costs associated with providing these services. Information provides a profile of hospital-affiliated child care centers and the range of services provided by these programs. Includes "Data Trends 2005" summary. (Published January 2005) Cost $500 for Non-Members or $250 for current CCHC Members
Benchmarking Survey II - examined specific key cost drivers inherent to hospital-sponsored child care programs, including: administrative structures; staff qualifications; compensation and benefits packages; and ongoing professional development for center-based staff. In addition, ancillary programs such as sick child care, school-age programs, emergency/drop-in/back-up care, and parent involvement programs were also surveyed. (Published April 2006) Cost $500 for Non-Members or $250 for current CCHC Members
